Created by talented people’s artists of Kyrgyzstan, 60 paintings reflecting Kyrgyz art history, Kyrgyzstan and its people have been donated to the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts. These distinguished artworks will be displayed with an exhibition. The "Painting Exhibition of the People’s Artists of Kyrgyzstan" will be opened by TRNC Minister of Education and Culture Cemal Ozyiğit.

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of Near East University, the Painting Exhibition of People’s Artists of Kyrgyzstan features 60 distinguished paintings created by state order holder Kyrgyz artists including Talant Ogobaev, Rakha Itikeev, Zhylkchy Zhakypov and Yuristanbek Shygayev. The opening ceremony of the exhibition, which will be held at the foyer area of Atatürk Culture and Congress Center at 9:30 on Monday 11 February 2019, will be realized by TRNC National Education and Culture Minister Cemal Ozyiğit.

The exhibition, which will be opened at 9: 30 on Monday 11 February 2019 by the National Education and Culture Minister Cemal Ozyiğit, will be open to the visitors from 10:00 to 16:00 on week-days throughout three weeks. The visitors will have the opportunity to see the donated paintings, which reflect distinct painting techniques of Kyrgyz artists, and get a better idea about the art of Kyrgyzstan.

The exhibition will also provide contribution to the cultural and artistic collaboration between our country and Kyrgyzstan.

Having been organized in memory of the 35th death anniversary of Dr. Fazıl Küçük, the Leader of Turkish Cypriot people’s struggle for existence and freedom, the exhibition themed “Dr. Fazıl Küçük and National Struggle” is continuing to be displayed at the Cyprus Art Center at Atatürk Culture and Congress Center (AKKM). The exhibition which features 165 artworks created by our country’s talented artists attracts great interest of the visitors. The exhibition will be open to public till February 15, 2019.
