5th Scientific and Academic Research Congress to be Hosted by Near East University

Near East University, ranked among the top 500 universities in the world, will host the 5th Scientific and Academic Research Congress on April 24-25, 2026.

The congress, to be held in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, will bring together academics and researchers from many disciplines, primarily health, social, education, science, and sports sciences, as well as fine arts. The event, a collaboration between Near East University and Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University, will provide an important platform for international scientific sharing and academic interaction.

Aiming to create a multidisciplinary academic environment, the congress will share original and current scientific studies; strengthen interdisciplinary dialogue and contribute to the development of new academic collaborations.

The Scientific Board includes academics from the TRNC, Turkey, the UK, Ireland, Canada, Hungary, Albania, Poland, and Chile. The Honorary President of the Congress is the Rector of Near East University, Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ and Prof. Dr. Mehmet Gavgalı, Rector of Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University. The Organizing Committee is chaired by Prof. Dr. Candan Öztürk from Near East University and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alper Yusuf Köroğlu from Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University.

The congress, with a final abstract submission deadline of April 17, 2026, will be held in both in-person and online formats. Abstracts presented at the congress will be published in the Congress Proceedings Book; participants, who come up with a request, will have their work considered for publication as an article in the Scientific and Academic Research (SCAR) Journal, provided they successfully complete the peer review process.
