The Association of Plastic Arts, which was established to ensure the learning, widespread and development of plastic arts by arousing interest in fine arts in the society, started its activities by electing the board of directors and sub-committees in its first general assembly.

Sub-committees to carry out the internal audit of the association were determined at the meeting, which was held in accordance with the statute that ensures that the association's activities are carried out in accordance with the legislation. Accordingly, Yücel Yazgın, Murad Allahverdiyev were elected to the Disciplinary Board, Erdoğan Ergün and Serkad Işıkgören to the Supervisory Board, Yücel Yazgın to the Presidency of the Council, and Hasan Zeybek and Raif Kızıl were elected as the council members. Musatafa Hastürk, Hasan Zeybek, Serkan İlseven, Birgül Beyazyüz and Selçuk Yalovalı took part in the Board of Directors, which will enable the association to work effectively and efficiently in achieving its goals.

Will Organize Artistic Activities ...
The Association of Plastic Arts, which will organize cultural and artistic activities promoting the Turkish Cypriot culture and art in the country and abroad, announced that it officially started its activities with the meeting it held. Cyprus Plastic Arts Association will organize many projects and events by collaborating with institutions and organizations that ensure the protection and development of the cultural assets of the country and its values in artistic and social issues. National and international conferences, exhibitions, courses, competitions, seminars, workshops will also be realized to create solidarity among art people. Bulletin, magazine, periodical and similar publications will help the public to have enlightening information. It will also provide training and consultancy services to those interested in plastic arts.

Unity of power of Artists...
The artists who participated in many exhibitions with their paintings and sculptures at the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts also continue to train new artists at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Near East University. In a joint statement made by the founding members of the association, it was stated, "After the establishment of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, it is aimed that the artist himself will be a party and a catalyst with the intensity of the art activities, through our association and with the initiative of civil society, depending on the art atmosphere in the country."
