Award goes to Near East College in Waste Material Sculpture Competition

The Near East College won an award in the secondary school category with its artwork called NEC in the "Sculpture Competition from Waste Materials” held by the Cyprus Turkish Education Foundation.

This year 18 artworks from 11 schools participated in the competition held at the Atatürk Culture Centre of Nicosia in order to increase the sensitivity of children and young people to the environment as well as to combine education and art.

In the competition where interesting and colorful sculptures exhibited, the sculpture created and named "NEC" by Aylar Pendiyeva from 7M group and Mert Uzun and Zeynep Şimşek from 8D group under supervision of their painting teachers Öztül Kayra and Firuze Arıtman was awarded.
