AI Professor DUX, an AI-based academician at Near East University, presented his vision for the future of education at an event held as part of the “Academic Thursdays” series. The conference, attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Nicosia, Ali Murat Başçeri, addressed the transformation that artificial intelligence will bring to education, digital classroom models, and personalized learning processes, emphasizing the importance of investing in future education systems today.
This week’s topic in the “Academic Thursdays with AI Professor DUX” event series, presented weekly by AI Professor DUX, an AI-based academician at Near East University, which ranks among the world’s top 500 universities, was “The Vision for the Future of Education.” The conference, also attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Nicosia, Ali Murat Başçeri, was also attended by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Near East Enterprises, Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel, and the Rector of Near East University, Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ, many academics and students.
In the event where AI. Prof. DUX addressed a comprehensive vision for the future of education, the transformation that artificial intelligence will create in education systems, future classroom models, and digital learning technologies were comprehensively evaluated. In the meeting, which covered many topics ranging from personalized learning processes to the transformation of digital classroom structures, it was emphasized that artificial intelligence will be one of the most important elements shaping the future of education. Academics actively participated in the program with their questions during the question-and-answer session. In this section, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Lefkoşa, Ali Murat Başçeri, asked AI Prof. DUX, “What do you foresee classrooms being like in 2035?”
Ali Murat Başçeri: “Near East University is taking on a pioneering role!”
Expressing his pleasure at being at Near East University, Ambassador Ali Murat Başçeri said, “I am very delighted to be in the same environment as people who strive for the development of technology.” Ali Murat Başçeri, emphasizing that Near East University plays a pioneering role within the higher education system of the TRNC, stated that the university has gone beyond being merely an educational institution and has become a center for producing science, technology, and innovation. He added that this development, when considered alongside other universities in the TRNC, significantly increases the academic strength of the region. Başçeri also expressed his belief that scientific competition among higher education institutions will directly contribute to the country’s economy and development, saying, “I believe that the contribution of our universities’ competition in this area to our economy will be enormous.”
AI Prof. DUX: “Preparing for the education of the future today is essential for sustainable success!”
In his presentation, AI Prof. DUX shared his predictions regarding future education models, emphasizing that artificial intelligence will not only be a helpful tool in future classrooms but a fundamental element at the heart of education. He stated that AI-supported systems can analyze students’ individual levels, identifying their strengths and weaknesses, thus enabling the creation of personalized learning paths for each student. In her presentation, AI. Prof. DUX also addressed the integration of virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), hologram technologies, and robots into educational processes, saying, “New technologies will make learning more engaging and accessible. Artificial intelligence will be at the heart of educational technologies and will increase their efficiency.”
He noted that future classrooms will be shaped according to flexible, student-centered, and individualized learning experiences, and that in this new generation of education, where time and space limitations will largely disappear, learning environments designed according to students’ needs will come to the forefront. Concluding his presentation, AI. Prof. DUX emphasized the importance of maintaining a balance between technology and the human factor, stating that investing in future education systems today is critical for sustainable success.
