“Career Day 2026,” held at Near East University, one of the world’s top 500 universities, brought students and the business world together to guide them on their career journeys.
Organized in collaboration with the Near East University Student Dean’s Office, the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, and the Faculty of Tourism, “Career Day 2026” saw a large turnout. Held under the slogan “Seize the Opportunities, Build Your Future!”, the event provided students with opportunities to guide their career goals. With the participation of many companies, “Career Day 2026” provided students with a strong vision and motivation as they took their first steps into the business world.
The opening speeches were given by Prof. Dr. Nesrin M. Bahçelerli, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, and Prof. Dr. Şerife Zihni Eyüpoğlu, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. Following the opening speeches, the Rector of Near East University, Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ, Dean of Students Prof. Dr. Dudu Özkum Yavuz, Prof. Dr. Şerife Zihni Eyüpoğlu, and Prof. Dr. Nesrin M. Bahçelerli visited all the stands and presented certificates of appreciation to the participating companies.
They Established Direct Communication with Business Professionals!
Students met with business professionals in person, asked questions they were curious about, and had the opportunity to directly assess the job and internship opportunities. Important institutions from various sectors participated in the event. The career days included Near East Bank, a subsidiary of the Near East Enterprises, and Dorana Art, Dorana Hotel, Mimoza Beach Hotel, Park Palace Hotel, Bellapais Oasis Hotel, and Dorana Gazimağusa Hotel, all under the Dorana Hotels Group umbrella, as well as many other companies. Companies that met with Near East University students at the organized career days included AISEC, Arkın Karpaz Gate Marina, Başman Group, Concorde Aria, Concorde Luxury Resort, Elexus Hotel, Koopbank, Lord Palace, Merit Hotels, Salamis Bay Conti, The Arkın Colony, and Vodafone.
A Meeting Shaping the Future
Near East University Faculty of Tourism Dean Prof. Dr. Nesrin M. Bahçelerli stated that such meetings contributing to the professional development of students are of great importance, and that the event will be a significant turning point in the career journey of young people. Prof. Dr. Bahçelerli said, “Today, we are offering our students a very valuable opportunity to meet with sector professionals, establish connections, explore career paths, and gain valuable information about the professional world.” She emphasized that Near East University aims to equip its students not only with academic success but also with the skills and experience they will need in their professional lives. Bahçelerli said, “We are building a strong bridge between education and the sector, between dreams and opportunities. This event is one of the best examples of this.”
Prof. Dr. Şerife Zihni Eyüpoğlu, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Near East University, said that the strong collaborations established with the business world reflect the university’s vision. Prof. Dr. Eyüpoğlu said, “The collaborations we have established with leaders and professionals in the business world are a concrete demonstration of our commitment to training the experts of the future.” She noted that students would gain significant insights into the sector through panels, meetings, networking sessions, and internship opportunities organized within the scope of the event, adding, “I believe that the experiences our students will gain here will be one of the sources of inspiration guiding their career journeys.”
