AI Prof. DUX, an AI-focused academician at Near East University, which ranks among the world’s top 500 universities, addressed the topic of artificial intelligence and art this week in the “Academic Thursdays with AI. Prof. DUX” event series. This week’s meeting, part of a series that tackles a different topic each week, was themed “Beyond the Brush: Art in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.” The event offered participants the opportunity to explore the transforming relationship between art and technology.
The event, held at the Artificial Intelligence, Information and Innovation Center with high participation, focused on how art production is being reshaped by artificial intelligence. The event, led by Fadi Al-Turjman, was attended by Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Gökçekuş, Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Environment at Near East University, numerous academics, and students. During the event, which concluded with a question-and-answer session, AI Prof. DUX answer questions in both English and Turkish. Throughout the event, which highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary interaction, it was emphasized that artificial intelligence is a production area redefining creative processes.

The “Dux Art Platform,” developed by AI Prof. DUX, was also introduced at the event. The platform allows users to easily manage their photos digitally and experience them in different presentation formats. watched with interest as their photos were reinterpreted by participants artificial intelligence in different artistic styles, experiencing the production process step by step. The “Interactive Art Wall” on the platform transforms any screen into a gallery that can be controlled solely with hand gestures, without the need for touch.
