Near East Primary School, having defeated all its opponents in the TRNC Ministry of National Education Junior Boys Basketball Championship, became the undefeated champion and won the cup by defeating Levent Primary School 53-30 in the final, securing its sixth TRNC championship.
Near East Primary School became the undefeated champion in the 2025-2026 TRNC Ministry of National Education Junior Boys Basketball Championship by defeating all its opponents. The Near East Primary School Basketball Team, which showed an effective performance throughout the tournament, won the championship cup by defeating Levent Primary School 53-30 in the final match played at Atatürk Sports Hall. In the semi-final, the team, which defeated Dr. Suat Günsel Nicosia State Primary School with a score of 63-26, advanced to the semi-finals by beating 23 April Primary School 57-9 in the quarter-finals. Yakın Doğu Primary School, showing a superior performance from start to finish, achieved a great success by completing the tournament undefeated.
Head coach Ahmet Dağer and his assistant Günay Hasip Ertopaloğlu played a significant role in the team’s success. Their disciplined work and strong communication with the students led to the team’s peak performance on the field.
