Approaches shaping the future of education were discussed…
The congress, focusing on competency-based, contemporary, and sustainable education models in dental education, was organized with the goal of creating a shared vision to improve the quality of education by bringing theory and practice together. During the congress, current practices in dental education and innovative teaching methods were discussed. The congress addressed approaches, measurement and evaluation methods, competency-based training programs, and simulation and artificial intelligence-supported training processes. In this context, emphasis was placed on “Objective Structured Clinical Examinations”, which aim to objectively and fairly measure students’ clinical skills, and the “Entrusted Professional Practice” approach, which reveals the level and extent to which students can independently perform professional practices. The congress concluded as an important academic gathering in terms of improving the quality of dental education, strengthening practical skills, and effectively integrating technology into educational processes.
