Accompanied by 7 teachers, a group of 40 students from Kavram Education Institutions in Adana, who came to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to have an “educational camp,” visited Near East University .
Near East University, ranked among the top 500 universities in the world, continues to shape the future goals of university students with its strong academic infrastructure, advanced technological facilities, and rich campus life. In this context, students from Turkey had the opportunity to experience firsthand the multifaceted university atmosphere provided by Near East University, which is among the top 500 universities in the world.
The group of 40 students from Kavram Education Institutions, who came to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) to organize an “educational camp” with their teachers, visited Near East University.
The group, consisting of 10th, 11th, and 12th-year students, toured the campus and received comprehensive information about the university’s academic facilities, departments, and social life. Students experiencing the university atmosphere firsthand, visited GÜNSEL, the Cyprus Car Museum, the Günsel Art Museum, and the Cyprus Modern Art Museum, as well as many faculties, closely observing the structure of Near East University, which integrates education, technology, culture, and art.
Students visited the Cyprus Car Museum, which sheds light on automotive history, and closely examined more than 150 classic vehicles dating from the 1900s to the present day. Among the vehicles that most interested the students were legendary models such as the Jaguar, which was the first to exceed the 300 km/h speed limit, the Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster, the Dodge Viper SRT10 Final Edition, and the Ford GT40. Students also explored the toy car collection with great interest. They enjoyed a nostalgic atmosphere, taking fun photos with figures of their favorite movie heroes, Batman and Transformers. The time spent at the museum provided students with an unforgettable experience full of art, history, and technology.

Hasan Demir, Education Coordinator of Kavram Education Institutions, stated that they came to the training camp with students preparing for university, emphasizing that such programs play an important role in clarifying students’ future plans. “We introduce our students to university campuses firsthand and provide them with the opportunities to experience campus life.” said Demir, adding that he himself is a graduate of Near East University’s Turkish Language and Literature department and that he is very proud to be at his alma mater. Demir noted that Near East University has shown great development since his graduation in 2000, saying, “It has changed so much that I can hardly recognize it today. It has transformed into a completely different university with its academic infrastructure, faculties, and campus facilities.”
Demir also added that the achievements of Near East University, which is among the top 500 universities in the world, in national and international rankings gives them confidence, and emphasized that the academic and social environment offered by the campus provides students with a strong university life experience.
