Near East University Veterinary Medicine Students in Erzurum with IVSA!

Near East University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine students experienced a multifaceted educational journey in Erzurum, based on academic and cultural exchange, as part of the IVSA exchange program.
Near East University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine students brought academic and cultural interaction to Turkey through the International Veterinary Students’ Association (IVSA) exchange programs. Within the scope of the student exchange program conducted with IVSA Erzurum, Near East University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine students participated in academic workshops in Erzurum, enhancing their knowledge and skills. The program, which included theoretical and practical training, aimed to strengthen cultural ties as well as share professional knowledge.

Near East University, which sends its students to many countries around the world through the IVSA Exchange Program, has also hosted international students from different geographies in Northern Cyprus. Within the scope of the program, students coming to the TRNC had the opportunity to get to know the academic opportunities of Near East University and experience Cypriot culture, while students from Near East University going abroad took their professional development to an international level with the academic and cultural experiences they gained at different universities.

As part of this mutual interaction, during the exchange program, which was carried out at the invitation of IVSA Erzurum, students explored the historical, cultural and natural riches of Erzurum, while reinforcing their professional competencies through academic and practical studies. Following the program, Near East University is preparing to host IVSA Erzurum students in Northern Cyprus between April 30 and May 4.

During the program, students also had the opportunity to explore the historical, cultural and natural beauties of Erzurum. Visiting the Ata Botanical Garden and Atatürk House, the students witnessed the history of the city firsthand in this important place that hosted the Erzurum Congress. Students visited iconic landmarks of the city such as Erzurum Castle, the Two-Minaret Madrasa, and the Three Domes, and also explored the unique landscapes of the region with nature walks at Tortum Castle and Tortum Waterfall. As part of the program, students experienced the natural beauty of the Seven Lakes, complementing their cultural excursions with social and enjoyable activities.
