The collaboration protocol signed between the Near East University Faculty of Sports Sciences and the China Bazaar Youth Force Football Academy will bring academic knowledge to the field, providing students with hands-on experience and athletes with improved performance.
The Near East University Faculty of Sports Sciences and the China Bazaar Youth Force Football Academy have signed a comprehensive collaboration protocol that will combine academic knowledge with field experience. The protocol was signed by Near East University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Umut Aksoy and China Bazaar Youth Force Football Academy President Zeeb Choudhry. The signing ceremony was also attended by Near East University Faculty of Sports Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Serkan Nazım Burgul, Vice Dean Prof. Dr. Ulaş Yavuz, and faculty member Dr. Hüseyin Güneralp.
As part of the protocol, students of the Near East University Faculty of Sports Sciences will have the opportunity to complete their mandatory internships and practical training under the umbrella of the China Bazaar Youth Force Football Academy. Students will actively participate in training and matches, reinforcing their theoretical knowledge with field practice. In addition, Near East University’s performance analysis, physiology, strength, and motor skills laboratories will be made available to football players, enabling scientifically based tests, measurements, and analyses. Athletes will be evaluated using scientific methods on parameters such as endurance, flexibility, strength, and performance.
The collaboration also includes the transfer of academic knowledge to the club infrastructure. The data obtained is planned to be used to produce research projects, master’s theses, and scientific publications. Furthermore, Near East University faculty members will play an active role in scientific consulting and performance development processes within the club.
Near East’s Support for Sports Grows!
Near East Enterprises continues to bring scientific knowledge and health support to the field in various areas of sports. In this context, Near East University Hospital, following its previous health sponsorships with the Cyprus Turkish Football Federation and the TRNC Hunting Federation, recently signed an official health sponsorship protocol with the TRNC Gymnastics Federation. Under the protocol, all athletes’ health screenings, pre-licensing examinations, emergency services, and development processes will be provided by Near East University Hospital, Dr.Suat Günsel Kyrenia University Hospital and Near East University Yeniboğaziçi Hospital, with their fully equipped infrastructure and expert medical staff.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Near East University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Umut Aksoy said, “This protocol signed between our Faculty of Sports Sciences and the China Bazaar Youth Power Football Academy will both enrich our students’ on-field experience and enable athletes to improve their performance on a scientific basis. Our goal is to create sustainable success models guided by science.” Zeeb Choudhry, President of the China Bazaar Youth Power Football Academy, stated that the collaboration with Near East University was a major gain for the club, saying, “The success of modern football depends on scientific analysis and accurate training planning, as much as on-field talent. We believe that our joint efforts, combined with Near East University’s strong academic knowledge, will significantly contribute to the physical and mental development of our young athletes.”
