Registration to the Near East University Master’s and Doctorate programmes is continuing…

All accredited by Higher Education Board of Turkey (YÖK) and Higher Education Planning, Evaluation, Accreditation and Coordination Board of TRNC (YÖDAK), the registration to a total of 143 Master’s and 75 Doctorate Programmes offered for the Fall Term of the Academic Year 2018-2019 is continuing.

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, the master’s and doctorate programmes are offered at the Faculties of Sciences, Social Sciences, and Institutes of Educational Sciences and Health Sciences; and the programmes are supported with a total of 1714 Academic Members of the Near East University. Furthermore, Near East University authorities acknowledge the fact that pursing postgraduate education is not only important in terms of academic specialisation but also significant in terms of professional and personal development. For this reason, more and more people are choosing to pursue postgraduate studies and therefore Near East University is running the postgraduate programmes with its highly specialised academic personnel to create new horizons for them.

In order to enable all types of relevant research to be conducted, Near East University offers its faculty laboratories and advanced research laboratory, Near East University Hospital, NEU Dentistry Hospital and NEU Animal Hospital to the service of those who are undertaking their postgraduate studies.

Making a statement regarding the matter, General Secretary of Near East University Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yeter Tabur stated that the master’s and doctorate programmes are designed as high quality goal oriented education. Moreover, he added that the programmes are an integration of theory and practice and therefore those who register to the postgraduate programmes will have all the necessary facilities to conduct research and specialise in their fields of study.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yeter Tabur emphasised that the total of 218 postgraduate programmes offered during the academic year 2018-2019, which are all accredited by Higher Education Board of Turkey (YÖK) and Higher Education Planning, Evaluation, Accreditation and Coordination Board of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (YÖDAK), were highly significant as pursing postgraduate education was essential in a world of competence; since many professions require and value those with postgraduate education.

In addition to the above, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yeter Tabur expressed that they, as the Near East University, prioritised providing professional development opportunities to those who seek it, and in this regard, they offered a 20% discount to the civil servants interested in the postgraduate programmes offered.
