Near East University was represented at the 3rd International Instructional Technologies &Teacher Education Symposium that organized by Karadeniz Technical University.

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press & Public Relations Office of the Near East University, the 3rd International Instructional Technologies & Teacher Education Symposium was held in KTU Osman Turan Culture and Congress Center on 9-11 September 2015. “Teaching in Digital Age” was the main theme of the symposium. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fahriye ALTINAY AKSAL and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zehra ALTINAY GAZI, the chairpersons of Center of Excellence Social Research and Development Center and also faculty members at NEU Atatürk Faculty of Education, participated in the 3rd International Instructional Technologies &Teacher Education Symposium as invitee speakers.

The symposium provided platform for scientists, policy makers, experts, teachers, graduate students, non-governmental organizations and representatives to share and discuss theoretical and practical knowledge in a scientific environment. Various topics were discussed at panels, oral and poster communications were presented and workshops on current issues concerning instructional technologies and teacher education were held by field experts during the symposium. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fahriye ALTINAY AKSAL and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zehra ALTINAY GAZI gave a seminar on “Accreditation, Quality, Standards in Higher Education and Distance Education" and represented the Near East University successfully.
