Near East University Faculty of Nursing bid farewell to its spring term graduates with a ceremony held at the Near East University Atatürk Culture and Congress Center

The graduates of the 2021-2022 academic year spring semester of the Near East University Nursing Faculty threw their caps with the ceremony held at the Near East University Atatürk Culture and Congress Center. In addition to the students, their teachers, families and many guests attended the ceremony where 183 students graduated.

The ceremony, which started with a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem, continued with a musical concert. Near East University Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ and Near East University Faculty of Nursing Dean Prof. Dr. Ümran Dal Yılmaz made the opening speeches; On behalf of the graduated students, Ayşe Erdiren, the top graduate of the faculty, and Husny Iretoyesi, the third top graduate of the faculty, expressed their feelings.

After the speeches, graduates, who accompanied by Near East University Near East University Faculty of Nursing Dean Prof. Dr. Ümran Dal Yılmaz and received their diplomas, took the nursing oath and threw up their caps.

Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ: “Create a world where you will be truly happy and proud of yourself by breaking the mold.”
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Near East University Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ drew attention to the change and said, “Don’t be under the illusion of thinking that the change will end with you and slow down. Know that; life and the world will always be one step ahead of you. Change continues… For example, your ability to analyze that information is important, not your access to information. In the era of disinformation fueled by social media; We need to learn to reach the right information, to analyze it, to criticize it, and not to listen to criticism.”

Prof. Dr. Şanlıdağ said to the new graduates, “Create a world where you will be truly happy and proud of yourself by breaking the mold. That’s the time when you will feel that you have truly succeeded. I know it is not easy at all. But I know that each of you has this potential. Realizing this potential is in your hands, even if it is a heavy burden! I trust each of you and I am proud of you”.

Prof. Dr. Ümran Dal Yılmaz: “We are proud of our graduates who have joined the health army.”
Near East University Faculty of Nursing Dean Prof. Dr. Ümran Dal Yılmaz started his speech at the graduation ceremony saying “We are proud and happy to bid farewell to our 183 graduates to the health army today”. Emphasizing that Near East University has great achievements in the field of science and art as well as in education, Prof. Dr. Ümran Dal Yılmaz said “Near East University, in an environment where science and art meet, provides our students with the most equipped education and enables them to step into the future.”

Prof. Dr. Ümran Dal Yılmaz addressed the graduates and said, “Your success is very valuable to us. We wish you happiness and success in the future. Today more than ever we believe in the light of science. As the great leader and head teacher Atatürk said, we draw strength from civilization, and science, and we walk accordingly.”

Stating that the aim of the Near East University Faculty of Nursing is to raise individuals who will contribute positive results to the future and humanity in health, produce knowledge and improve themselves, Prof. Dr. Ümran Dal Yılmaz said, “Have your goals, ideals and dreams on your journey to the future. Without compromising ethical principles and honesty; lead the way as fine people in the light of science. Follow your dreams. Have your values ​​and goals. Be inquisitive and inquisitive individuals. Above all, love. Love people, nature and your job.

Ayşe Erdiren: “Every wound we heal will be a medal for us.”
Ayşe Erdiren, who graduated from the Near East University Faculty of Nursing as the top student, started her speech on behalf of her graduates saying “I am honored and proud to have successfully completed this path that I started four years ago”.

Stating that she is a graduate of a health vocational high school, Ayşe Erdiren said that she wanted to support her work in the field with her knowledge at the Near East University and that’s why she preferred the Near East University Faculty of Nursing, “Today we have completed a long and difficult road. As Safiye Hüseyin Elbi, the first Turkish nurse, of whom I am proud to be a colleague, said, every wound we heal will be a medal for us.”

Husny Iretoyesi Bakanze: “Near East University is the university of dreams!”
Husny Iretoyesi Kabinze, who graduated as the third top student, started his speech by congratulating all his graduates and said, “I am proud to be speaking before you on this beautiful day.”

Defining the Near East University as the “university of dreams”, Bakanze emphasized that with the qualified education they received here, they were raised as good health professionals, and that they also had the opportunity to develop themselves socially by being in a multicultural environment.

Husny Iretoyesi Kabinze, thanked all his teachers, especially Ümran Dal Yılmaz Dean of Near East University Faculty of Nursing, who provided all kinds of support to them throughout their education life.
