The Feast of Science, which is held traditionally by Near East College, received great interest this year as well.
NEC Feast of Science, which provided platform for students studying at the Department of Science of ÖSS and GCE classes of Near East College (NEC) to unveil a scientific feast that presenting virtual materials that they produced during applied science courses, was held at Near East College Indoor Sports Hall with the support of teachers and students of Geography Club, Observation and Research Club, Department of Mathematics, Department of French, and Education of Religion Culture and Ethics.
According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of Near East University, the opening of Feast of Science was actualized by Dr. Özdemir Berova, Minister of National Education and Culture, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Irfan S. Günsel, Chairman of NEU Board of Trustees, Erdoğan Şensoy, Coordinator of NEU Administrative Services and Education, and Işılay Arkan, Director of Near East College. The event was a fun feast for students with a curious soul and provided opportunity for them to offer a visual feast through scientific experiments and materials that they created during applied science courses. The Feast of Science, which created a scientific vibrancy and attracted great interest of academics, students and parents, will be remembered as one of the best events that realized by NEC to keep close and personal with the fascinating world of science.

Dr. Özdemir Berova, Minster of National Education and Culture, received information regarding the experiments by visiting almost forty stands one by one that opened by students. Dr. Berova stated that the event was a visual feast of science and he was very impressed.

Touching upon their commitment to realize the Feast of Science annually on a traditional basis, NEU Board of Trustees Chairman Assoc. Prof. Dr. Irfan S. Günsel underlined the crucial role of the event for students in terms of gaining and developing positive attitudes towards science, project design, research and innovation. “Today, here, with games and contests, our students have presented us their scientific studies and experiments that they conducted in their applied courses all round the year. With a curious soul and intense interest in science and technology, our students presented a visual fun feast that impressed the attending body. Our era realizes rapid changes and vigorous developments in science and technology. Being the linchpin of excellence in education, Near East University always attaches great importance on science, scientific research, technology, and tech-invention and innovation activities. To this end, we spare no sacrifices to encourage and support projects and scientific studies. In order to create an environment beneficial to science and innovation, the Feast of Science is held annually and it covers the whole process of scientific studies and experiments that conducted by NEC students throughout the year.
