Taking roots on this land is of paramount importance
Cenk Dökmen, Chairman of Executive Committee of Paphos Turkish Union and members of Executive Committee paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Suat İ. Günsel, Founding Rector of Near East University.
According to a press statement released by the Press and Public Relations Directorate of Near East University, Cenk Dökmen, Chairman of Executive Committee of Paphos Turkish Union, made a statement at the visit and said that they were very happy to pay a courtesy visit to Dr. Suat İ. Günsel, who is a Turkish Cypriot in general, but a Paphosian in origin.
Dökme also said “Suat İ. Günsel is a great chance for Turkish Cypriots. As the Paphos Turkish Union, we declare that we will always and in every circumstances be with and in support of our Suat Hoca, and thank him for his kindness in accepting us.”
Dr. Suat İ. Günsel, stating that he was very grateful for the visit of Paphos Turkish Union, emphasized the importance of taking roots in this land. During the visit, the advancements of Near East University and University of Kyrenia and how these universities contribute to social events of the Union were discussed.
At the end of the visit, Cenk Dökmen, Chairman of Executive Committee of Paphos Turkish Union and members of Executive Committee presented a plaque to Günsel in memory of the day. Following the presentation of the plaque, the members of Paphos Turkish Union and Günsel had a photo taken.
