Turkish Cypriot player of EuroLeague champion Anadolu Efes, Erten Gazi, will meet with basketball fans at Near East University

Erten Gazi, a 25-year-old Turkish Cypriot basketball player who won the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague championship with his team in two consecutive seasons when he played for Anadolu Efes, will meet with basketball fans at the Near East University RA Sports Hall on Friday, July 1 at 11 am.

In the event organized by the Near East University Sports Club Health, Culture and Sports Department, Erten Gazi, who will participate in the talk about his professional life and basketball, will also answer the questions of the participants. Gazi will also give basketball training to the children participating in the event.

From Güzelyurt to EuroLeague championship
Born in Güzelyurt in 1997, Erten Gazi started playing basketball in 2004 at Güzelyurt Basketball Specialization Sports Club. Having championships in the TRNC and representing the TRNC in abroad, Gazi completed primary and secondary school in Güzelyurt. After completing the 9th year at the high school, he joined Anadolu Efes family in Istanbul in the 2012-13 season. He experienced the Turkish championship in star and youth teams here. He played in Turkey U16 and U18 National Teams. In 2015, he experienced the U18 European Championship in Greece and the World High School Championship in France in the same year.

Between 2015 and 2020, he continued his education and sports life at Chicago DePaul University and New York Fordham University in the NCAA, the US university league. Erten Gazi, a communications and marketing graduate, joined Anadolu Efes as a professional player in the 2020-21 season.

Erten Gazi experienced the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague championship with Anadolu Efes in the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons, and the ING Basketball Super League championship in the 2020-21 season and the Turkish Cup championship. Gazi, who is also a Turkish A National Team player, still continues his professional sports life at Anadolu Efes Sports Club in Istanbul.
