The Adoption of Turkish National Anthem, and Mehmet Akif Ersoy Week will be commemorated with various activities

The anniversary of the adoption of Turkish National Anthem, and the Remembrance Week for Mehmet Akif Ersoy will be commemorated with a series of activities in Turkey and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of Near East University, the 97th anniversary of the Adoption of the National Anthem and the Remembrance Week of Mehmet Akif Ersoy will be celebrated with many concerts and conferences in Turkey and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Near East University adopts the National Anthem as the epic of a true liberation war describing the struggle of a nation for life and liberation that would set an example to all oppressed nations. Within this frame, Near East University is proud of celebrating the 97th anniversary of the adoption of our National Anthem and commemorating its unique national poet Mehmet Akif Ersoy.

Within this frame, to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the adoption of our National Anthem and to remember Mehmet Akif Ersoy with respect and gratitude once again, Near East University will organize a concert titled as “Eşin Var Aşiyanın Var”. The concert will be performed by the artists affiliated to the TR Ministry of Culture and Tourism General Directorate of Fine Arts. The concert will be held at Near East University Grand Library Conference Hall 4 at 14:00 on Tuesday 13 March 2018.

The concert is open to public free of charge.
