The group exhibition, which consists of a total of 22 artworks specially prepared for the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts by Kazakh artists Arshyn Kabylbek , Rakhat Saparalieva and Zeynelkhan Mikhamedjan, and Kazakh artist Almas Nurgozhayev’s solo painting exhibition, which features 15 paintings exclusively prepared for Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts , will be opened by the Interior Minister Ayşegül Baybars.

The Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of Near East University released that a group and a solo exhibition that feature a total of 37 paintings by Kazakh artists will be held at the exhibition hall of NEU Atatürk Culture and Congress Center (AKKM). It was stated that the opening ceremony would realized at 09:00 on Friday, 06 December 2019.

Who is Arshyn Kabylbek?
Arshyn Kabylbek was born in village Shapshal of Kazakh-Ili Province in China in 1989. In 2006 he graduated from an art college in Kuytun-China. After graduating from Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts in Almaty-Kazakhstan in 2011, he worked as a teaching staff there.

He has participated in many national and international art exhibitions. He was awarded with many medals and diplomas of international festivals and contest-exhibitions, like Inspiration, Youth Creations, Young Talents, Almaty – a cradle of Independence and others.

Who is Rakhat Saparalieva?
He was born in Taraz, Kazakhstan. He graduated from Almaty Art College in Almaty. He worked in art studios for a while. He is a member of the Artists Union of the Republic of

Kazakhstan. He has participated in regional and international exhibitions. She works as a stage designer at the Abay Kazakh Drama Theater.

Who is Zeynelkhan Mikhamedjan?
He was born in 1959 in Mongolia. In 1978, he graduated from the Art School in Ulaanbaatar. Until 1991, he worked as a graphic designer in Mongolian Artists Association. He is a member of Mongolian Artists Association and the Artists Union of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He is the responsible member of Kazakhstan Art Academy. He is a member of the Association of Craftsmen of Kazakhstan. He was deemed worthy for the international award of “UNESCO Quality Brand”. Due to his achievements in the field of art, he had his name written in the book of records of Kazakhstan.

His works have a distinguished place in Kasteyev State Museum of Arts, the Fine Arts Zanabazar Museum-Mongolia, and the Museum of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan as well as in many private collections in countries such as Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Korea, the USA, Sweden, Israel, Germany, Russia and Japan.

Almas Nurgozhayev was born on January 29, 1988 in the village of Kegen. Between the years of 2003-2007, he received art education at Almaty College of Decorative and Applied Arts named after O. Tansıkbaev. Between the years of 2007-2017, he completed his undergraduate and master’s degree education at Kazakh National Academy of Arts named after T. Zhүrgenev. Since 2014, he has been working as a drawing and composition teacher at Almaty College of Decorative and Applied Arts named after O. Tansıkbaev. He is a member of the Artists Union of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He is one of the professional artists of Russia.

Exhibitions and achievements:

In 2008, he participated in the XI International Festival of Creative Youth “Shabyt”.

In 2009, he participated in the “Breath of Independence” the 3rd city competition of young artists.

In 2010, he participated in the Republic Exhibition “National Idea in Painting”.

In 2010, he was deemed worthy for the first place award for the report “Youth in the world of science” in Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages named after Ablai Khan.

In 2010, he participated in the XIII International Festival of Creative Youth “Shabyt”.

In 2011, he was deemed worthy for the first place award for the best term course work on painting in Kazakh National Academy of Art name after T. Zhүrgenev.

In 2012, he received a letter of appreciation for his unique contributions to the International catalog titled “Art Unites the Continents”.

In 2013, he participated in the SAPAR Travel Exhibition and received a certificate of participation.

In 2015, he participated in “Art Caravan” International Exhibition in Abu Dhabi.

In 2016, he received a certificate of appreciation for his valuable contributions and support to the socially important project titled “I want to live” that dedicated to children with cancer. He was also awarded for his participation in the national contest titled “Ancestors wanted independence” that dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2017, he was awarded for his unique solution and new art vision that he reflected in his works at “A View to Future” exhibition that held at International Festival of Creative Youth “JASTAR”.

In 2018, he achieved the third-place in the international competition that held under the title “Energy, Youth, Art” with the support of the Fund of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
