Near East University, which started activities called “Art Vibrations” on the campus in order to popularize classical arts, organizes “8-15 Age Group Classical Music Festival”.

Young musicians interested in classical music and playing a musical instrument, especially the primary and secondary school students will be able to participate in the festival which is organized with the aim of introducing themselves, exhibiting their performances and creating a suitable environment for the stage experience.

Candidates will be able to make their application by filling out the application form provided on https://neuarttremors.neu.edu.tr web page and uploading the video recording of the work they are going to play until 20 January 2020. The work to be played by the candidates should not exceed 10 minutes.

Auditions will be held in four different categories…
At the end of the contest where stringed instruments such as violin, viola, cello, double bass; wind instruments including flute, clarinet, bassoon, horn; piano and classical guitar, the young musicians to be selected will perform in front of the audience and give a mixed concert. Until January 23, 2020, individuals who have been accepted to the contest, will be sent an e-mail. The entire list of participants will be divided into categories and published on the website.

Evaluation to be conducted by experienced musicians and educators…
Various awards will be given to the candidates who will be selected in the mixed concert as a result of the evaluations of a jury consisting of experienced musicians, academicians and educators of the field in 4 different categories. The awards were designed within the framework of the holistic principle adopted by Near East University in order to develop and nurture young musicians and raise their awareness and interest in arts, culture environment, healthy development of their bodies and university-community cooperation.

Concert to be held on January 30…
The jury evaluation will be held after the applications completed for the contest and the selected candidates will give a concert in the Classical Music Feast, on January 30, at 19.00, at the Great Library Hall 4 of Near East University.
