What is Stencil Print Painting?
Stencil is a template formed by carving the designs applied to the surface of the cuttable materials such as paper, cardboard, etc. with the help of a utility knife or a crater. Using the gaps formed on the surface of the stencil, the design is applied to the surface by means of materials such as spray paint, roller, brush, sponge. Stencil printing is not one of the traditional printing methods, but it is one of the techniques used especially by designers and artists. By combining computer technology with this method in the process of creation and design, fast, multi-choice, flawless forms can be produced. In the process, the results can be reached by shaping random errors with aesthetic concerns.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ergün; “This exhibition titled “Beautiful” of my template print pictures.”
Artist and academician Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erdoğan Ergün in his statement about the works said; “The philosophy of my work is beautiful/beauty and my quest on this object. Beauty and beautiful take their forms in human beings. What makes an object beautiful for a human being is the value he places on the object. The concept of beauty and beautiful for the human being is considered together with the concepts of pleasant, good, wonderful, sweet, perfect, useful or right, because for humans, the concept of beauty does not occur without these concepts. This exhibition “Beautiful”, which I approached with artistic concerns and prepared using the unique visual language of the graphic, consists of my template print pictures.”

“Portraits are interfaces in which people can interact with their inner worlds.”
Assoc. Dr. Ergün; “I have been working on portraits for a long time. The reason why I choose portraits is, as it is known, the artists aim to reflect the person’s portrait’s characteristic features, mimics and mood in their works while making the portrait. A successful portrait not only provides a visual presentation, but also gives information about the person’s spirit and entity. Portraits can also provide information about a person’s status in social life, hobbies or work, personality traits or beliefs. Portraits are an interface in which we can interact with the inner worlds of people.”
