Prof. Dr. Murat KOCAOĞLU

Prof. Murat KOCAOĞLU, M.D. was born in Iskenderun in 1970. He completed his primary and secondary education in Erzin. He was graduated from Gülhane Military Medical Academy (GMMA) School of Medicine in 1992, followed by finished mandatory service between 1994 and 1995 in Lüleburgaz and Ankara.

He completed his residency in GMMA Department of Radiology between 1995-1998. He worked as a Radiologist at Air Force Hospital in Ankara between 1998 and 2001. He had Assistant Professor Degree in 2001 at GMMA. He worked as a research fellow at the Duke University Children Hospital, NC, USA, between 2003 and 2004. He got his Associate Professor degree in 2006 and full Professor Degree in 2014 at GMMA. He retired from Turkish Military Forces in 2014. He currently works as the Vice Rector and Chairman of Radiology Department in Near East University.

Prof. Murat KOCAOĞLU, M.D. has over 200 scientific articles and book chapters in national and international journals mainly about pediatric radiology, neuroradiology and magnetic resonance imaging and is an active member of several national and international associations such as Turkish Society of Radiology, the Turkish Society of Pediatric Radiology, Turkish Society of Magnetic Resonance, the European Society of Radiology, and European Society of Pediatric Radiology.

He gave over 30 speeches on national and international scientific meetings. He has also served as Section Editor of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology journal, as a reviewer in many international journals and the Scientific Board Member of TRD National Radiology Congress. Prof. Kocaoğlu had his Pediatric Radiology diploma in 2010 and Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates certification (ECFMG) in 2016.

He has high degree proficiency in English. He is married and has three children.
