He was born in 1980 in Famagusta (Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus). He had his primary education in Köprülü Primary School between years 1987 – 1992. Then he went to Polat Paşa High School. In 1997 he was graduated from Polat Paşa High School and he started to Eastern Mediterranean University, the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, to the Department of Turkish Language and Literature. After completing four years undergraduate program here he started to master program at Ege University, Institution of Social Sciences, to the Department of Turkish Folklore in 2001.

In 2003 he completed the master program with work named “Cyprus Turkish Anectodes and Humour Theories” and he started to doctorate program at the same department. In 2010 he completed his doctorate education with thesis named “Compare of the Folk Tales of Cyprus Turkish and Folk Tales of Uyghur Turkish”.

He has been working at the Near East University, Faculty of Art and Science, Department of Turkish Language and Literature as an instructor since 2008. Today he is continuing to work as a lecturer in the same faculty and also Turkish Preparatory School.

His research interests include folklore, literature, Turkology, culture and education. He has a lot of publications in various journals indexed in Web of Science, Scopus, EBSCO etc. indexes. He also presented many papers about his field in various congresses and conferences. He is married and he has a child. He is also well in English.
