modalities(Micro-preparation and fissurotomy burs,Sonic tooth
preparation,Air abrasion, Lasers and Chemomechanical methods) in
treatment planning.
Restoration of teeth with broken down cusps with dentin pins, factors that
may determine the number of pins, types of pins, anterior and posterior
pin selection, placement factors of pins, pin problems and remedies are
also taught in this course.

Caries lesion clinical characteristics, such as color, depth and
texture and the histological severity of cementum, dentin and
pulpal involvement, different zones in progressing caries
lesions, understanding caries-like formation in root caries at specific
pH‘s and types of enzymes involved in the process are stressed in
this course.

procedures is taught. This course also provides evidence-based
and procedure-specific recommendations and clinical decision
support for the management of postoperative pain.

infection, and diseases of the immune system, including allergy,
Autoimmunity, and AIDS.

DTD 627
Advantage and disadvantages of Fluoride releasing restorative
materials (conventional glass-ionomer, resin-modified glass
ionomers, compomer ,varnishes, composites) that can act as a
constant reservoir to supply fluoride ion to the adjacent tooth
structure for cariostatic effect.

prevention and health promotion to improve the oral health of the
population.Students are prepared to assume roles as educators in
public health. Program activities focus on various aspects of dental
