PHY 603 – Physiology Of The Cell And Body Fluids
This lecture is the first step in physiology before beginning to delve into the organ systems. Body fluid distribution, transport of substances across cell membrane, and membrane potentials are the common properties of the cell, and the special knowledge of all organs are being given at this lecture on the basis of the information given above.

PHY 612 – Muscle And Peripheric Nervous System Physiology
Muscle and peripheral nervous system physiology is the core subject of physiology. Participants will gain knowledge about muscular system, body movement mechanism and physiological properties of the periperic nervous system. Participation to class and having pre-knowledge is a must.

PHY 632 – Heart And Circulatory Physiology
Heart and Circulatory Physiology is an obligatory lecture in Physiology program. It contains same theorical and experimental knowledge. The aim of this lecture is to study the general properties of human circulatory physiology and the cardiac muscle. 2 hours of theorical and 1 hour of laboratory study is planned. Students should get prepared for the lectures.

PHY 633 – Introduction To Physiology Of Cns
The lecture of introduction to CNS physiology is indicated as a selective lecture in the physiology MSc program. The aim is to learn the theoretical knowledge. The CNS and general knowledge about physiological features of CNS will be learned. For this reason, the lectures were planed for 3 hours per week. The students should attend the lectures and prepare before lectures.

PHY 634 – Introduction To Endocrine Physiology
The aims of the lessons are to learn theoretical knowledge and make some practise dealing with related topics. The students will learn different hormones and their action mechanisms, as well as their effects on the human body. It is an obligation for students to join and prepare the lessons.

PHY 654 – Basic Laboratory Applications In Physiology And Research Methods I
Laboratory work is one of the basic methods used in physiology to reinforce the knowledge and to search for unknowns in this field. Reserchers should have information about the basic principles of work to provide laboratory safety, ethical rules about the research and the laboratory animals. They should be able to use the devices in the physiology laboratories used for measurement and evaluation of physiological parameters and apply various experimental methods.

PHY 656 – Seminar
The student is required to prepare and present a seminar related to a current scientific topic in the field of physiology.

PHY 703 – Muscle Physiology

PHY 704 – Peripheral Nervous System Physiology
‘Peripheral Nervous System Physiology’ is a compulsory theorethical doctorate course in the physiology program. The aim of this course is to teach the theoretical knowledge and also some practical studies related to subjects. In this course physiological properties of the periperic nervous system will be studied in detail. 2 hours therothical lessons and 2 hours practical lessons are planned per week. The students are expected to participate to all of the lessons and prepared for the subjects.

PHY 705 – Renal Physiology
This course is about removal of waste products from the body, regulation of water and ion balances, micturition and hormones related with the excretory system

PHY 706 – Endocrine Physiology

PHY 712 – Respiratory Physiology
Exchange of air between the atmosphere and the lungs (ventilation), exchange of gases between alveolar air and pulmonary capillary blood (diffusion), properties of pulmonary circulation (perfusion), transport of oxygen and carbon dioxide in blood, regulation of respiration, effects of altitude on all these events, role of the lungs in acid-base balance are covered in these lectures.

PHY 713 – Blood Physiology
Blood physiology lecture is designed as selective in the physiology program. The lecture aims learning of theoretical knowledge and doing some practical studies in related subjects. General knowledge about blood, blood cells and physiologic properties and functions of plasma will be studied. The lecture is planned as 2 hours theoretical and 1 hour laboratory practice. The students have to join the class and be prepared for the lecture

PHY 714 – Gastrointestinal System Physiology
‘Digestive Physiology’ is a selective theorethical doctorate course in the physiology program. The aim of this course is to teach the theoretical knowledge and also some practical studies related to subjects. In this course physiological properties of the digestive system will be studied in detail. 2 hours therothical lessons and 2 hours practical lessons are planned per week. The students are expected to participate to all of the lessons and prepared for the subjects

PHY 715 – Physiology Of Exercise And Metabolism
This course will cover the topics like energy balance, and the factors that have role in its control, measurment of energy expenditure in the body, body heat and control mechanisms, control of food intake, hunger, satiety obesity and energy expenditure during exercise, muscle, circulation, respiration and endocrine system physiology during exercise and metabolic role of the vitamins and their physiology The courses will be prosecuted as conferences, group seminars, journal clubs and laboratory studies. The students are responsible of using the sources, participating to the classes and preparing reports about the laboratory studies.

PHY 716 – Central Nervous System Physiology
The doctorate lecture of sensory system physiology is indicated as a selective lecture in the physiology PhD program. The aim is to learn the theoretical knowledge. The sensory system and general knowledge about physiological features of sensory system will be learned. For this reason, the lectures were planed for 3 hours per week with 1 hour practice. The students should attend the lectures and prepare before lectures.
