The Department of Physiology started its departmental studies as part of the Faculty of Veterinary of Near East University in the academic year 2011-2012. The Head of Department, Prof. Dr. Bahri EMRE, previously Head of Department of Physiology of the Faculty of Veterinary of Ankara University, now has been appointed as the Head of Department. The Department of Physiology of the Faculty of Veterinary of Near East University has been founded with the support of the Head of Department, Prof. Dr. Bahri EMRE, and other academic staff; Prof. Dr. Nesrin SULU, Prof. Dr. Vedat SAĞMANLIGİL, Prof. Dr. İlksin PİŞKİN, Prof. Dr. Meltem ŞIRELI, Prof. Dr. Çiğdem ALTINSAAT, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hakan ÖZTÜRK and Research Assistants as the academic staff.
Physiology is a branch of biology that deals with the functions and activities of life or of living matter. It provides detailed information on mechanical, physical and biochemical functions of organisms.
