He was born in Ankara at 31.03.1971. He graduated from Adana Anatolian High school after Emine Sapmaz Elementary school. He graduated from Istanbul University Veterinary Faculty in 1996. During his student hood, he worked as a guest student at the Bristol Veterinary Faculty, Lengford and The Angora Goat Farm from 15th June to 15th September, 1991.
Between 1997 and 2002 he completed his PhD in Virology at Istanbul University, Institute of Health Sciences, Department of Microbiology, faculty of veterinary medicine. During his Ph.D. studies he has been as a guest researcher at JRA Epizootic Research Center Tochigi, Japan.
Experimental infection with EHV virus, isolation of viruses in cell culture and sequential detection of viral DNA by PCR method were performed during studies in Turkey and Japan. During the doctoral thesis, EHV-1 and 4 viruses were detected in Turkey for the first time by PCR method and the presence of EHV-4 virus was revealed for the first time in Turkey.
The veterinary medicine education on ‘life’ and ‘death’ followed by academic and field works on 4 main topics. He is married and father of two children. He is fluent in English, beginner in German and Spanish.
