Rana Serdaroglu was born on the 26th of December 1987 in Nicosia. She went to Sehit Ertugrul Primary school and Near East Junior College for her primary education. Following, she went to Near East College and graduated in 2004. In 2008, she graduated from the Department of Banking and Finance at the Near East University. During her Undergraduate education, Rana Serdaroglu has been rewarded by honour and high honour certificates through her academic grade point average. In 2009-2010, she completed her MSc. Degree in International Marketing at the University of Birmingham and started teaching as a lecturer at the Near East University. In 2013, she has also gained a position at NEU International Student Office as Marketing Communication Manager. Besides, at in 2017 Rana Serdaroglu completed her PhD in the Near East University on Business Administrations.
Rana Serdaroğlu was awarded with the honor and high honor certificates due to the academic grade average during her education in Banking and Finance Department. She also completed her education in the Banking and Finance Department as the department’s first.
Rana Serdaroglu has worked as a current account cashier and worked at the The Bureau Exchange department at the Near East Bank. She has also attended several marketing research projects of well-known brands as a market researcher in the UK during her postgraduate education. On the other hand, she has attended to an internship program which is sponsored by the TRNC government in 2012 at the representation office of TRNC in Brussels, Belgium.
She has supervised undergraduate projects on the topics of international marketing and related fields. Her research interests are in the field of International Marketing, Z-numbers, Decision making problem, Z-information, Z-Linear Programming, Strategic-brand Management, Consumer Behavior and Banking.
Her additional interests are encircled by cross-cultural studies, environmental studies and piano.
