Near East University Faculty of Medicine Department of Medical Education and Informatics is responsible for the organisation and delivery of the communication and basic clinical skills course of the undergraduate curriculum through the small group sessions and related educational activities. The program is integrated with system based committee blocks of the main curriculum and titled under the name ‘Good Medical Practice’. The main objective of this program is to provide hands-on learning experiences to medical students for the practice of fundamental clinical skills.
The department’s general scope and roles are included under the following areas;
- Curriculum design and evaluation
- Curriculum delivery / Course management.
- Faculty development/Continous medical education activities
- Research in medical education
- Academic counselling
Currently, the department has one full-time academic faculty member involved in teaching and other educational activities.
