Born on 30 June 1979 in Khartoum, Sudan, he spent his early years in Dubai. He graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School, Dubai, in 1994, and in the same year commenced his medical education at the Faculty of Medicine in Hacettepe University. After attaining the title of “Doctor of Medicine” in 2000, he was awarded the titles of “Specialist of Internal Medicine” in 2007 and of “Specialist of Gastroenterology” in 2011.
He was the general secretary for the 18. World Congress of the International Association of Surgeons, Gastroenterologists and Oncologists (IASGO) held in Istanbul in 2008.
He has numerous scientific papers in esteemed national and international medical journals and is also a member of several Gastroenterological associations.
