Dr. Emil Mammadov completed his medical education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1998-2004. In year 2005, Dr. Mammadov started to specialize in Pediatric Surgery at the Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty of Istanbul University and successfully completed his specialization in 2010. During this period he has conducted experimental and clinical studies, published scientific articles and has attended many international congresses. Between the years 2010-2011, he has participated actively in robotic surgery and took the first steps in this branch specialization at Florence Nightingale Hospital, Minimal Invasive and Robotic Surgery Center. In 2011, Dr. Mammadov started his career at the Near East University Hospital. Dr. Mammadov successfully implemented the first pediatric laparoscopic surgery of the TRNC in the same year. A short time later, the first newborn laparoscopic surgery was performed by the same team. After establishing the infrastructure for minimally invasive surgery at the hospital, his team continues these operations routinely. In 2013, Dr. Mammadov presented the first series of pediatric laparoscopy in the TRNC. He also actively participates in scientific studies. In 2014, Mammadov pioneered the establishment of “NEU3D Laboratories”, which is tasked with integrating the health with three-dimensional printing. Dr. Emil Mammadov is a member of Near East University, CSRH (DESAM) Scientific Advisory Board and Near East University Ethics Committee. At the same time, he is responsible for the Biotechnology Unit of the CSRH (DESAM). He is married and has two children.
