I was born and raised in Kademi town of Kano State, the Northwestern part of Nigeria. I am a Food Scientist by profession, having completed and bagged my Bachelor degree from Kano University of Science and Technology, Wudil, Nigeria. After completing the Bachelor, I have attended the Federal College of Education, Kano for Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE). In 2016, I obtained my Master degree in Food Engineering from Near East University.

In the same year, I started my Ph.D. studies in the same University. Up until now, I have completed my P.hD. courses and passed qualifying examination.

My research interest is on food quality and safety control systems, mainly to ensure food hazards and contaminants are prevented or at least reduced to safe levels without compromising the
availability, accessibility, stability and utilization of foods. Main focus is on Screening and mitigating contaminants (chemical, microbial and physical) in the food web, developing and
validating food analytical methods and Food process optimization and simulation via mathematical models
