Subsequent to achieving his PhD degree on Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University, he worked as a lecturer at the university. Later, he was promoted to rank of Assist. Prof. Dr. Then He worked as a Professor at the Departments of Mechanical Engineering of two different universities in the United States. In 1992, he was appointed as a professor to Dokuz Eylül University, Izmir Turkey. Since 2015, he has been working at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Near East University. His main research interests are subjects related to thermal energy. He has several publications in world renown international journals; on CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics), on heat exchangers, thermal energy storage, and on impingement cooling.
