Tuna Eren graduated from the Engineering Faculty of Hacettepe University in 2000 with Mining Engineering degree. He has a Master’s Deficiency (2001), MSc (2004), and PhD (2010) degrees from Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering Department of Middle East Technical University from Ankara Turkey. He worked for Schlumberger (an international oilfield service company) as a Field Engineer in UK and Libya in 2001 and 2002. He worked as a Drilling Engineer in Turkish Petroleum Corporation where he gained onshore and offshore drilling experience until 2007. He joined Eni, and prepared the planning and execution projects for the Company’s Middle East, Mediterranean and North Africa Geomarket. He worked in Milan and Basra for Eni until 2013. He was the Drilling Engineer in charge for the Iraq’s Zubair oilfield in the start up of activities for drilling with Eni Iraq. He joined BP Iraq as a Senior Drilling Engineer and was involved in drilling of Horizontal Wells as well as turnkey wells until 2016. He has also been involved in establishment of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering Department of Batman University as an Assistant Professor Dr and chairman in between 2013 -2015. Presently he is involved in part-time lecturing in Petroleum Natural Gas Engineering Department of NEU, and carrying out research activity.
