Assist. Prof. Dr. DilberUzunÖzşahin was born in Alulain 1984. She completed her primary and secondary education in Adana. She graduated from the Department of the Physics of Çukurova University in 2006. She has worked at CERN, Geneva during 2008-2010 for her Master thesis. She completed her Master studies in 2010 in Master of Natural and Applied Science, High Energy Physics (title:CMS-CASTOR Forward Detector 2008 Test Beam Data Analysis and 2008-2009 RADDAM data Analysis ).She completed her PhD studies in 2014, with her work on “Modeling, simulation, and evaluation of a high resolution VIP positron emission mammography scanner based on pixelated semiconductor detector” in UniversitatAutonoma de Barcelona, Spain. In 2015, she has started to work at Gordon Center for Medical Imaging, NMMI Radiology Department, Massachusetts General Hospital & Harvard Medical School as a post-doc. She has worked a new technique called laser induced optical barriers (LIOB) technique to improve nuclear medicine imaging devises cost and performance.She has designed a high performance cardiac SPECT systems with a cost effective manner using LIOB technique.
