Günay Sadıkoğlu Mammadova was born on 22nd of January 1988 in Baku, the capital city of Azerbaijan. She moved to Algeria with her family where her father was a Sabbatical Professor at the Sidi Bell Abbes University in September 1988. She studied at Arabic elementary school in Sidi Bell Abbes between 1992-1993. She moved to Azerbaijan in 1993 and continued her elementary education in Baku. Upon completion of her elementary education she started her secondary education at the Near East College in Northern Cyprus in 1999. She completed her higher secondary in 2005 and started the Near East University,
Faculty of Business and Administration for her undergraduate education. During her undergraduate education, she was awarded a student exchange program scholarship offered by the European Union Commission and she continued her studies at Anglia Ruskin University between 2008-2009. She graduated from the Department of Business Administration at Near East University in February 2010.
She was an International Student Coordinator at Near East University between 2010-2013 and also pursuits her graduate studies. In 2013 she completed her Master of Science Thesis on “Job satisfaction in the North Cyprus Hospitality Industry” at the School of Tourism and Hotel Management, Near East University. After successful completion of her master degree, Mammadova focused on her professional development and she is currently working as a full-time lecturer in Marketing department at Near East University. She is also the co-ordinator of Marketing Department’s Distance Learning Center. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Business Administration. She speaks fluent Turkish, English and Russian.
