She was born on March 30, 1984 in Nicosia, Cyprus. She studied at Akçay Primary School, Şehit Turgut Middle School and Güzelyurt Kurtuluş High School. Then, she graduated from the Department of Information and Record Management of Faculty of Languages, History and Geography of Ankara University in 2005. When she graduated from her department, she won the third prize given by the department and her thesis also won the “Emely Dean Thesis Award”. Subsequent to her graduation, she returned to the island and worked for the Girne American University Library and Information Services Centre for five years. At the same time, she became a member of the Board of Management of the Cyprus Turkish Librarians Association.

Later, she graduated from the Department of Information and Record Management Master’s Programme of Near East University in 2011 and received the second prize from Near East University Institute of Social Sciences. Since 2010, she has been working at the Atatürk Teacher Training Academy. Additionally, she has been working, as part time lecturer at the Department of Information and Record Management of Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and also at the Department of Medical Documentation and Secretarial at the NEU School of Health Services.
