Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa SAĞSAN

Sagsan was born in Vadili, Cyprus  on 15th June 1975. He graduated from Vadili Primary School, Polatpaşa Secondary School and Lefkoşa High School. His father is known as  Master Oktay due to his occupation, smithery, and his mother is a housewife.

He began his academic education in 1993 at Ankara University Department of Library and Information Science, and completed his MSc. in the same department. Sagsan  completed his Ph.D  at Başkent University on Management and Organization Sciences.

Sagsan began his professional career in 1999  as a Congress Director at Aristokrat Travel and Meeting Planner, Ankara. In the year 2000 he set up the Documentation and Information Center for the Avrasya Stratejik Araştırma Merkezi and was appointed as the Head of the Knowledge Engineering Board.

In September 2002, Sagsan continued his professional career at Baskent University as co-founder and lecturer in the Department of Knowledge Management. As of September 2010, Sagsan is Chair of the Department of Knowledge Manangement at the Near East University, Faculty of Economics & Administrative Sciences.

Sagsan has given in-house training to various public establishments, including the Office of the Turkish Republic Presidency.

He continues as a project researcher for various projects financed by TÜBİTAK and TODAİE. Sagsan has over 70 international and national published research articles, proceedings, and book chapters.  He has  reviewed for various international and national journals as well as having been a member of the organization committee for numerous international and national conferences.

By returning to his home country (TRNC) he has given himself the mission to promote his country at the international academic platform. Through his personal web site, www.mustafasagsan.com, he aims to share his academic studies globally under the slogan “Feel life freely and scientifically until maturity, relatively” which likewise pioneers the organizational, managerial, and societal development.
