Assist. Prof. Dr. Meryem KARAAZİZ

She was born in 1990 in Nicosia. She graduated from psychology undergraduate program as the top student of the faculty in 2012. In 2014 she completed her master’s degree in clinical psychology with an average of 4.00 as top student. In 2017, she completed her doctorate study in clinical psychology. She is the author of many scientific articles.

She is in the Department of Psychology of Near East University, deputy chairperson and lecturer. She is Positive Psychotherapist and Family Therapist, Drug Addiction Counselor and EMDR practitioner.

She won Turkey Research Paper Award of the 50th National Congress of Psychiatry in 2014, NEU Young Investigator Award in 2016 and the second prize at the 11th Turkey Alcohol and Drug Addiction Congress in 2017. She has been a member of board of Cyprus Psychotherapy Association since 2013.
