She was born on 21 August 1977 in Cyprus. After completing Famagusta Turkish Maarif College in 1994, she finished her under graduate studies at İstanbul University Faculty of Forestry, Department of Landscape Architecture in 1998. And in the year 2000, she has completed her graduate studies and received her master degree at İstanbul Technical University Faculty of Architecture, Department of Urban and Regional Planning. She worked as a landscape architect in several firms and institutions since the year 1999. In 2007, she started for her phd studies at Eastern Mediteranean University, Faculty of Architecture. In the year 2010, she has completed the courses and the qualification exam for her ongoing phd studies. Buket Asilsoy is a lecturer at Near East University Faculty of Architecture Department of Landscape Architecture since 2010-2011 spring term. She is giving lectures on landscape design (residential gardens, mass housing green areas, public green spaces etc), urban and rural landscape planning and history of landscape architecture. She has one article published both in an international refereed conference and in an international refereed journal and one another published in a national refereed symposium.
