Ayşe Gertik was born in Nicosia. She completed Dikmen Primary School in 1996 and Bayraktar Secondary School in 1999. She graduated from Sedat Simavi Industrial Vocational Lise department of Architectural Drafting in 2002. She studied ‘Architecture’ at Near East University in 2008.

In 2009 she started her M.A degree studies at Near East University faculty of Architecture. She completed her M.A in November 2011. Her master degree with her thesis ‘The Approach of Biomimesis and a Critical Review of Contemporary Architecture of Northern Cyprus within its Context’. In 2012 she commenced her Ph.D studies in the ‘Ecological Planing’ and still continuing with PhD program. PhD thesis, design, architecture, city and environment. In 2016-2017 Fall Semesters, she took a part time job in Girne University Department of Architecture.

Since 2009, he has been continuing to give design courses mainly in Architecture and Interior Architecture Department at Near East University Faculty of Architecture. In addition to theoretical work, it is included in the implementation projects. Participated in national and international conferences, presented papers. The exhibitions were carried out within the scope of the Faculty of Architecture and the Workshops, which were organized jointly by different universities. From 2013 onwards he is a member of the faculty of architecture as a Transfer Member.
