She was born in Nicosia on October 9, 1974. After finishing Sht.Tuncer Primary School in 1986, she graduated from Nicosia Turkish Maarif College in 1992. She completed her four-year undergraduate education in Hacettepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design in 1997. Her Master of education was completed in 2000, at the same university and she was awarded the title of Master of Interior Architect. In the same year she began to work, as a senior lecturer in Girne American University, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, Department of Interior Architecture. During the five-year academic study, she gave varied lectures and also she had attended several exhibitions and workshops in the same university. In the spring of 2006, she began working as a senior lecturer, in the Near East University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Interior Architecture. She still continue to teach at the same university. During this time, she is continuing her Phd program at Hacettepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design. In October 2008, Shoe Art Istanbul Project had been started, Honourable Mrs. Oya Talat, led by the Turkish Cypriot Women’s Solidarity Council with the theme of “Gender and productivity” the project which she had designed with Vedia Okutan Gaydeler, reveals that as one of five Cypriot artists. Because it was found to exhibit values in various city of Turkey after the exibitions in İstanbul. Between February-March 2010 Her article “ the meeting amateur hands with the furniture” had been published in Decostyle Magazine, page 53,54 and also in May-June 2010 Her article “surrealism and architecture” had been published in Decostyle Magazine, page 105,106. She attended an exhibition electives of “Kucuk Kara Balık” with a group work which would be exhibited in Istanbul in June 2010. She attended a project in UNDP between July-August 2010. It was about discovering, measuring and drawing the Ottoman period buildings in Cyprus Island. She attended an international exhibition called “Collisions 2011”, in Naci Talat Vakfi Nicosia in June 2011.
