İpek Danju was born in 1978 in Adana, Turkey. She has graduated from the Science department at Baraj High School in 1996. After graduating from the Internetional Relations Department at Eastern Mediterranean University, she continued her postgraduate studies in the Department of Educational Sciences at the same university. During her MEd studies, she also worked as a research assistant at the Department of Educational Sciences, focusing on quantitative and qualitative research. Also, she taught some courses as research assistant at EMU. Her MEd thesis on the title: Analysis of 1st Grade and 5th Grade Textbooks and Primary School Students’ Views about Gender Role in Society: A Comparative Study. She started working as a part time lecturer in Ataturk Faculty of Education, at Near East University. In 2011, she has started PhD on Educational Programs and Instruction at Near East University and she is writing her PhD dissertation. She is currently working as a full time lecturer in Ataturk Faculty of Education, at Near East University. Her research interests include the curriculum development, evaluation of educational programs, multicultural education, educational psychology, democracy, citizenship and human rights education.
