The groundbreaking ceremony of Hospital of University of Kyrenia and Faculty of Medicine, opening ceremonies of new faculty buildings of University of Kyrenia will be realized by Prime Minister Kalyoncu.

According to a press statement released by the Press and Public Relations Directorate of University of Kyrenia, the groundbreaking ceremony of Hospital of University of Kyrenia and Faculty of Medicine, and opening ceremonies of new faculty buildings of Faculty of Maritime Studies and Faculty of Aviation and Space Sciences will be realized on campus of University of Kyrenia on 15 November 2015, at 15:00. It is stated in the press info that the complex of Hospital of University of Kyrenia and Faculty of Medicine is projected to be completed within one year and become ready for education by the beginning of 2016-2017 academic year. It is also stated that the Hospital of University of Kyrenia and Faculty of Medicine, which will be established with support of extensive knowledge and experience of Hospital of Near East University and Faculty of Medicine of Near East University, will provide every sort of contemporary equipment and technological infrastructure to conduct all sort of education and research facilities.

Fully Equipped University Hospital Will Be Completed Within One year...

The Hospital of University of Kyrenia and Faculty of Medicine of University of Kyrenia, of which the groundbreaking ceremony will be actualized by Prime Minister Ömer Kalyoncu on 15th November and be completed within one year, will be in service in September 2016. The Faculty of Medicine and the Hospital of University of Kyrenia will be established in accordance with the international criteria and medical criteria, and the Hospital will have a capacity of 150 beds. The Hospital will consist of the departments of Emergency Medicine, Forensic Medicine, Pediatrics, Dermatology and Venereology, Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, Internal Medicine, Thoracic Diseases, Cardiology, Neurology, Nuclear Medicine, Radiology, Psychiatry, Sports Medicine, Medical Genetics, Anesthesiology and Reanimation, Neurosurgery, Pediatric Surgery, General Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Cardiovascular Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Ophthalmology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Otorhinolaryngology, Orthopedics and Traumatology, Medical Pathology, Urology, Orthodontics, Nutrition and Dietetics and latest technology equipped Check-up Center, Blood Bank, laboratories, operating rooms and Hemodialysis Unit. The Hospital of University of Kyrenia, which is being built in the line with standards and criteria set by international bodies, will provide high quality, safe and affordable health services to the people living in Kyrenia and its surroundings.

The buildings of Faculty of Maritime Studies and Faculty f Aviation and Space Sciences, of which the opening ceremonies will take place along with the groundbreaking ceremonies of Hospital of University of Kyrenia and Faculty f Medicine, are being brought into life considering all sort of academic and social needs of students, as well as integrating all education and research opportunities.

Offering the highest possible training in every aspect of maritime issues and becoming a pioneering institution in educating qualified staff for world maritime sector, the Faculty of Maritime Studies comprises Radar Plotting Laboratory (ARPA / Radar); Radio and Communication Simulator Laboratory; Liquid Loading Simulator Laboratory, Bridge Simulator (Bridge), ECDIS (Electronic Chart Display and Information System) Simulator and Enginee Room labs, as well as cafes, library, and other social and cultural facilities for needs of students.

Another important premises of which opening ceremony will take place is Faculty of Aviation and Space Sciences which comprises all sort of technical and technologial infrastructure required by aviation education. Brought into life with the ultimate vision and objective to offer the best possible education environment at the highest possible standarts, the Faculty of Aviation and Spaces Scinces offers a comprehensive theoretical and pratical education and training environment for students who will take part in the intense competition environment of fast-growing aviation sector. Amongst the several labs where students will both study the theoretical and practical aspects of aviation sciences, are technology labs which include CNC machines used to develop models of wind tunnels and various parts of devices for experimental designs, lab of fluid mechanics which include various wind tunnels, electric and electronic lab where electric and electronic systems are introduced and studies, and the flight simulators which are products of the latest technology.
